Today, we’re changing our name from TakeIELTS.net to Preptical.

Preparation for the IELTS exam is challenging, expensive and risky, and many of our users now need us for more than online IELTS mock tests. Preptical will solve that by creating a revolutionary platform for IELTS candidates, instructors and examiners.

A look into our mission

A few years ago, with the introduction of the computer-delivered IELTS exam, we set out to help candidates who’d been struggling to get their desired IELTS score. We named our idea “takeIELTS.net” because “taking” the “IELTS” exam on the “net” was basically what our early customers needed.

We set ourselves a mission to help all IELTS candidates succeed in the IELTS exam on their first try while keeping our mock tests available and affordable to all around the globe.

Now, we’re a community of 100 thousand people who are working their dream job, migrated to their new home or studying at their dream university.

Our online IELTS mock tests and detailed test reports have replaced hours of expensive courses for many of you. By building this platform for you, we’ve given you a solution that was previously not available to everyone.

You’ve told us for years what you need is more than mock tests. Many of you need high-quality affordable courses that you can take to improve certain areas or skills.

Traditional preparation methods are too expensive, not available to everyone, and most of them don’t work like they should because they were built for the past. We shouldn’t have to accept this status quo.

Today, we don’t. We’ll fix it with Preptical. It makes preparation for the IELTS and many other language exams easy, affordable and borderless.

Today our name catches up with our mission and objective. Preptical is for all the people who are preparing for the IELTS exam around the world. It’s for those who want to access high-quality resources, courses and mock tests at an affordable price.

For users, not too much will change right away but we will add several cool features including access to tons of preparation material and resources in the near future. You can access your exact same account via Preptical.com, using your current email and password. You won’t need a new account. In a few weeks, we will start to redirect takeIELTS.net to preptical.com.

The core experience of using takeIELTS.net will remain easier and more affordable than anything else. Our mission remains the same. We’re still the fastest way to become IELTS ready.
